Delta Flight Museum — Delta pilot Capt. Jim Daigneau

Jim pilots the Airbus 320 for Delta and exudes enthusiasm for aviation.  He was the driving force behind the recent restoration of the instructor’s desk for the Delta Flight Museum’s Link Trainer display.  He put a lot of research behind it so that the display accurately reflects how the WWII instructor pilot taught students how to fly and tracked their simulated flight progress.

See the Delta Flight Museum’s nice article about Jim at http://www.deltamuseum.org/about-us/blog/from-the-hangars/2018/06/28/volunteer-spotlight-capt.-jim-daigneau

Jim researched and documented a paper about Ed Link’s trainer and the Delta Flight Museum’s Link trainer and instructor’s desk restoration.  It is an interesting paper with good references and links.  Check it out at http://www.deltamuseum.org/docs/site/default-document-library/the-links-to-the-desk.pdf?sfvrsn=a7deb921_2
