The National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, NY is a group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of vintage military aircraft, as well as other artifacts of war. They collect, restore, display, and fly planes on a small airfield with manpower being entirely comprised of volunteers.
Taelor Kirkebye is a volunteer at the museum. He recently decided to get their static display C-3 link trainer up and running. It was fully operational in the 1990s when they had it on display. Their C-3’s previous assignment was at the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory until March 16th, 1965 when it was marked for scrap. Since then, it has been sitting in a corner of the museum with a small description.
